Heya guys.
I'm currently waiting for a phone call today to say if im ok for finance on a new car. If it comes through then the twingo will be going and being replaced by a fiesta zetec 1.4 TDCI. The reason for the swap is it will save me money in fuel and tax and will also give more room in the car which i could do with. However this isnt going to stop me from gatecrashing this site and any meets i can get to :p

Booo! not a bad choice though, I hear they're excellent on fuel. Although the interior, the twingo might be bland and boring but at least it doesn't gimme a headache like the fords :p looks like the inside of a trainer!

What does zetec trim bring?

Heres a pic of the inside. Going to be keeping it for 5 years so dowt it will stay that way. Already looked into a smd conversion but the only problem is the exterior is silver and dont know what colour coding to do.

Ford the problem is cirlced ;)

No another note good luck mate the new fiesta look better then the older ones but still not my cuppa tea im not a ford man

I always think fords are incredibly over priced for what they are.. Trying to get my grandparents to get a new clio rather than fiesta.. Think they are probably more fuel efficient and lower insurance and tax? Plus at least the clio looks nice the fiesta is a bit... Weird...

(but if that's what you like and what works for you, then best of luck and hope the finance sorts it self out)

Insurance is the same as the twingo so running costs sorta helped the decision. Also the fiesta im looking at has stupidly low miles for a year and a bit old car and it the best priced for the age aswell.

In my opinion Fiestas are like Astras; common and bland lol - by common, I mean... they're everywhere, everyone has them, lol! But good luck and enjoy :)

Detailed one of the new fiesta's the other day, year old in the quite smart wine colour, think they look pretty smart and drove well; but the quality was attrocious! The lights wouldnt turn on, automatic wipers were starting even when no water was on the sensor, the laquer was peeling, alloys centre caps had water entry, interior seats stitching was coming undone and interior plastics were cracking; it was the Titanium spec so quite expensive id imagine

If it looks too good to be true it usually is.

I am aware of this but everything has seemed ok and my dad has looked it over (ex mechanic) and its at a dealership with a good rep. Also alot of bantering made them lower the monthly payments alot :D

Signed the documents today and picking it up friday so now just gotta sell the twingo mods.

If it's Hartwell Banbury trust me they're known for giving shabby, poor service. Once they got your money they don't wanna know!

Can't wait to see pictures :)

Noooo not them. Yeh cant wait to get it. Joined a forum Fiestamk7.com but it like the early days of this one. A ghost town :( Giving me modification ideas though

JRE3D I will be bringing it to meets lol or else i cant get to them :p

The price of changing car, the price of diesel etc etc and it's still cheaper overall than your Twingo extreme? How!?

It's only £20 a month more than the twingo and with the savings in tax insurance and possibly fuel cancels it out. Also it's more practical being bigger. More room inside and also got bigger boot.

Confused! Thought you were getting rid of the Twingo to save money?

Over 12 months I'll save £60 on tax I think, £100 on insurance unless premiums go nuts So that's only £80 more a year before fuel which should be cheaper on the fiesta. Also like mentioned more room making it a more practical choice in long run. Oh and these are all my excuses just to get a new car :p
