Might try and kill the creaking an all that when I get home. I have the se problem

Seems to be pretty common! My lil tool box will be coming back out again tonight to get it sorted its doing my nut in!

Just thinking might be the springs under the rear seats? Well will try and kill the boot lid striker if not cures then kill the rear seats.

Ok just adjusted mine and it was the so called "striker" .the ofending thing just needed nocking back 1mm or so. Also a way to check it is close the boot walk to the side of the car and push the boot lid above The rear light and you will hear it creaking. So now all happy :D. We will see if it is cured due the shocking roads round hear.

Just adjusted it. Not taken if for a drive yet but fingers and other bits crossed

No a massive amount but pretty much just straighten it. Fixed the rattle. Top job people thanks for the help

I am going to adjust my striker tomorrow morning.
I reckon 2 or 3 mm required on mine as I have a little daylight coming through where the rubber SHOULD seal against the inside of the boot.

Will definitely post back what happens!

I've adjusted the striker. This was connected with my "daylight coming through boot seal thread"
After not being able to shut the boot at all and a little trial and error, I managed to get a good secure locking.

Climbed inside the car and looked toward the back of the car and happy to say, no daylight coming through.
The seal seems to be sound, I cant poke my finger through any more.

Still have a little rattle which I am yet to sort out. Thought it might be the boot, but alas its not.
It only seems to be when no-one is sat in the back passenger seat, so I'll test that tomorrow when I take the little lad to school.

I'll take the parcel shelf out/ spare wheel/ etc to try and eliminate them too.

I think another tiny bit of adjustment required, but at least the boot seals now!

So so so so happy it's not just me with this annoying problem. i've been driving round with my hand in the back trying to feel for loose parts, moving the seats all over the shot.
my cars running into renault next week. might get it checked out then as its still under warranty. either that i'll take a look myself the weekend, don't really trust myself with tools on a new car mind.

Yeah, only had mine a week yesterday.
If I can sort it myself, I'd rather not go back to garage as its a 50min drive to start with.....each way.

Yeah it's a common thing an your bound too find something in ever Renault that rattles ;)

I've heard the words 10k rattle so much from Renault drivers haha!

An yeah id rather tackle the problem myself, just to know for future reference, I had a look at mine this morning, it looks very drunk, so will get some tools out the weekend if the rain decides to stop!

I did it sat in the boot while it was rodding it down. handy as you can pull the boot down and see where its lining up.

I'm stuck in my boot, great work.

So I've straightened it up, but where do I move it to? All the way back, forth? Grrrr

Man the fudge up. Man vs boot.... You can do it.

I loosened it up. Pulled the boot down slowly on to the striker so it pushed where it needed to be. Needed to be a little forward as pulling the lid down forced the striker towards the inside of the car. Job done.
