KTEC REMAP

Hi guys , just wondering if anyone has had the KTEC remap available for the twingo done on their 133 RS as I am interested in gaining a bit more power however 250 pounds seems a bit steep for '8 bhp' gain?

Any opinions or advice would be great thanks guys

Hey Bradley. Word from my local independent RS specialist is that you'll not really release any significant improvements in BHP with any "cheap" mods. You can make it sound a bit throatier with an induction kit and a bit raspier with a new exhaust, but simply keeping the engine well maintained will allow the car to perform at its best.

And yes, more horsepower would be nice (I got beaten in a straight line by a Corsa VXR last night) but I'd still much rather be in my Twingo!

Yeah I've been beaten many a time by the VXR, great thank you for the advice are there any particular induction kits that you would recommend and also have seen a few comments about removing the air box and just putting a cone filter straight onto the inlet but afraid this will downgrade performance wise as it may suffer heat soak?

I'd pull the trigger on the BMC CDA induction kit; that or the K&N Apollo but just for brand loyalty I prefer BMC. Don't worry about warm air soak or more/less horsepower - you're really making fractional differences. Maybe you'll notice a slightly better throttle response. You will get a nicer noise in the cabin though - that's worth the cost alone!

May have to do this! Any idea how big the inlet tube is 80mm or 70mm? And if you know if there are any guides on how to remove airfeed? Or is it possible to buy a cone filter alone and put onto the inlet tubing and keep it in the airbox? Just to make it look stock still
