Hi folks. Some of you may know me from Clio197.net where our 200 currently stands like this (Thanks in part to Karl and his awesome discounted prices lol):

Anyway, we are now on the lookout for a red 133 to replace our boring Astra 1.6 SE. We are awaiting a call back from a dealer that I contacted today to see what they can offer us in the way of a trade. So fingers crossed we'll soon be the proud owners of another 133.

*** Previous to the 200 the wife owned a 133 for just over a year and we miss it. So thought have the best of both worlds a 133 and a 200.***

Welcome Noddie. Good choice in getting rid of the Astra. Even better with getting a 133 :)

Welcome :)

133s are great little cars. You going cup/non cup?

Going non Cup but with Cup suspension etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the rear seats in the non cup have Isofix dont they?

Yes in the full fat with cup pack. (spilt seats). And the front passenger as well

Well the deed is done. Paid deposit to secure the one we wanted. Now just gotta wait until next Saturday to pick her up.

Long old way away though to pick it up. Look forward to the drive back up though.

A few pics of the badboy that I pick up next Saturday:

Will more than likely be removing the decals as I think they are a bit too in your face. First thing on the to do list will be spruce up the interior a touch with the RS gearknob, gaitor, handbrake cover and some nice RS mats. Then it'll be onto a new Cup spoiler. Cant have one on the 200 and not on the 133 lol.

On that subject. How easy or difficult is it to fit the spoilers yourself?

Superb. Done the deal over the phone with John and it was easier than expected. Tis a long old way for me to go though:

Distance: 448.7 miles (show in km)
Time: 7 hr 34 min

At least the drive back up will be more exciting than the drive down.

Two screws either side which are a match between GT spoiler and RS spoiler. Don't loose the little sticky jelly tots, as they go in recesses and space the middlle of the spoiler away from the boot

So its really that easy? 4 screws? Even I could manage that I think.

Will need to speak to Karl soon then about ordering one.

If i can do it im sure anyone can

Have spoken to the dealer and getting them to remove the decals for me so fingers crossed the paint under them is the same as the stuff on the outside.

If they are different though surely its nothing a good machine polish couldn't sort out eh?

Have changed my mind now about the dealer removing the decals. Will be tackling it myself as soon as get time. Would rather do it myself and know its done properly. Not wanting a patch quilt paint job lol.
