David don't tell Carrie! Amy is due a big treat ;)

And hmm never a fan of raceglaze and 55 disappointed me

Bizarre, I've been dead chuffed with RG55.

Bomb proof, hardly anything sticks to it in my experience.
I do despise waxes though for their application and removal.

3 coats of sealant on the Gordini was simple.
10 mins to do whole car x 3

Bloody hell. Good results.

What wax?

It was just Dodo Juice Purple Haze

Was going to give it a wax again today but the weather decided different

I use that and gives good results

Sweet.
Not tried any of the Dodo wax range yet.

Ive got:
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection from years back, not used it in ages
Victoria Concours Red Wax
Werkstatt Acrylic Jett
RG '55'
Poorboys Wheel Sealant

Top ups, for quick detailing at the moment my favourite for that just waxed look after every wash is Clearkote Quikshine from the guys up at Cleanyourcar.
Obligatory Megs Last Touch which I keep coming back to.
and Autosmart Reglaze.

Dodo waxes stick to the core range. Start wandering from that and it's a lot of marketing tosh (where their backgrounds actually lie)

I'd list list my products, but it would take far too long

Top work on an (obviously) lovely car! :)

That Sonus Green clay is a joy to use as well. It's the only clay I use on my Megane.

As for the stripes, I can't say I'd noticed any scratches either sides of the stripes on my Gordini though.

Cheers Alex.
The sonus clay was brand new too, straight out the wrapper.
Very fine.

When I get round to doing the doors wings and boot I'll be going over it with IronX and tardis first, then clay, machine, (glaze), seal, wax.

I didn't realise people were so into cleaning their cars.

Mine has been to the guys in Tesco car park twice and twice to Renault. Otherwise I rarely touch it myself, unless it's caked in bird crap. I always get beads of water on my car with essentially zero effort. I should probably have taken some photos.

Will try to remember next time. Renault must have done a really good job :)

A wax coating of pure canuba wax will make your car bead perfectly, although you'd need to part with a few hundred quid for pure canuba wax so sack that till I win the lottery, smells handsome too

I use werkstatt acrylic prime strong as my polish on my albi 197 and it's great I don't machine btw... I am going to get some jett to compare with dodo juice acrylic spritz which is also great!! I'm like you though hate actual waxing an tbh I can't see how it protects anymore than giving it 2 or 3 goes of sealant every week when washed ...

Sorry but that's a load of rubbish you can buy carnauba pellets for cheap and all you need to do is melt them then let them set a little for the wax... It's a lot more that pure carnuba

Just ignore the Post fella, as not to stray off topic, that specific issue has been resolved!
