as there is a non twingo section on here and seeing that alot of reviews state that the rs twingo comes close to old school hothatches like the peugeot 205 gti. thought would add some pics of my cousins car, whilst on photoshot and track day at brands hatch, as he is the one whom got me started on cars.

They were fantastic cars and very quick! Thx for posting.

my cuz came on here to look at the pics and took great offence to the were :p as these pics were only taken a few months ago and still is a good car. haha

so much offence that I felt the need to join... lol

In all seriousness this seems a really nice little forum, I have taken a bit of an interest in the little Twingo's especially seeing as my dear cousin finally got his act together and bought one. He being slightly love sick has only taken me for a short spin but she felt brisk and I love the dash.

In terms of the 205 thanks for the comments, it has pretty much been rebuilt in my hands with everything having being replaced or upgraded. It currently sits at 142bhp and around 130 lbsft of torque at 4k. So plenty quick enough.

Then again I am jealous of all your airbags etc but as the 205 is a garage queen its no matter. Hopefully I can tag along and meet some of you at a meet sometime.

Thanks guys, I will make sure Chris (manofhow) looks after the twingo as well as I have my 205. I have twisted his arm to do a morning at Brands on the 21st which is £79 quid for open pit lane 9-12 if anyone else fancies it.

Nah of this month mate can't remember what's goin on but my mate is takin his old xr2 round with a 2liter lump in

205 gti are the best ever hot ever. The chassis is still fantastic 30 years later. The xu engine pulls like a train. The injection system is a bit dated makes for fun traffic movement.
Looks like a nice example there you have is a cat version ?

No non-cat by like 3 days....

It has a fully rebuilt lump with:
LAD fast road cam
Ported and Polished throttle body
Gas Flowed head
Full period perfect magnex system

All set up on the rolling road

Lightened and balanced flywheel and fully rebuilt gearbox
Brand new full oem braking system with brembo discs and pagid pads - master cylinder new calipers lines the lot

New Bilstein b4 suspension with eibach springs
Rebuilt rear beam

Yeah so a new car.

I'd like another one. But would want to start with a bare shell re build.

Just some of the example of the work. Yeah full bare shell rebuild would be awesome. I just didnt have the funds

Looks like you have put a fair bit of work in there fella.
Id spend a fortune doing one up given the chance. But it's weather to stay original or go down the tastefully modded route.

To give you an idea how much those things cost, for one side of rear quarter badges you are looking at about 80 quid.
