Hi,

I would like to change my exhaust system on my TRS.
What is the best exhaust for you ?

What do you think about KTEC exhaust ?
From now, i hesitate beetween KTEC 2.0 inch and KTEC 2.5 inch with catasport.
Is the 2.5 really better ? Is the 2.5 really much more noisy/louder ?

I precise that i use my car all day to go to my job.

Thanks.

Well I got a Scorpion exhaust in the end.

Seemed good value. Build quality looks great.

I'll fit it over the winter months.

Will post some pics over weekend if I can get the hang of doing that!

Cheers,
Simon

Please do, I am interested in a new exhaust also. The oreca does look good but would it be to noisy?

What tyres are you running btw? 205s??

I have looked on their site and it said "unavailable in your country" ie the UK.

My twingo has a resonator and TWO silencers from a previous owner, it actually has a nice burble to it!

195s. But that is because its got the clio 172 16 inch wheels.

Yeah I'm always tempted to go to 205 due to the greater choice [195/17 cup wheels really only give Falcon ZE310 ecoruns at a reasonable price, it's fortunate that they are bit of a dark horse performance wise & excellent all round road tyre IMO] The car came on Conti sport contact 3s but part worn I just couldn't stand the noise on certain road surfaces, literally set off timuitis to a painful extent. Falkens can get noisy around 3-4mm but nothing like the white noise inducing continentals.

EDIT to remove annoying auto linking

I have a full supersprint system fitted on my 17k mile liquid yellow RS so be nice to compare them. Mine was owned by my mate Nick (member: Nick3814) who owned the car from new. Im
Guessing it’s the lowest mileage one in country and has never had any damage, paintwork or corrections. It’s a time warp car! Lives in my heated garage.

Ive changed the plate now from A8 NKX to : AL13ERN (one of my sons is called Albern 👍)

I’ll update a thread on mine when I get a chance as I’ve spent a lot of money on it…
Nothing daft tho as it’s such a box fresh car but I’ve replaced the original cup suspension with a full replacement cup suspension set from Renault at great cost but just so it looks brand new! Also had belts done, wheels refurbed, suspension and engine mounts changed to power flex bushes and have Brembo grooved discs and EBC yellowstuff fast road pads going on… plus I’ve upgraded the brake likes to HEL performance ones in yellow colour!
I’ve also fitted an ITG induction kit which sounds great!😊

This replaced a BMW M140i shadow edition I had and loved but this Twingo was such a rare car when Nick agreed to sell it and it reminds me so much of my younger days having Pug 205 1.9 GTi’s, Saxo VTR’s, Citroen AX GT’s etc that I simply couldn’t pass up on the opportunity ….

Reliving a little bit of my youth 😂 albeit it’s very much a garage queen that I hope to maybe put a few hundred miles on in the summer 🤘

Damn thats awesome. Liquid yellow ones are so hard to find. And that low milage too is crazy! I have also heard the supersprint system sounds pretty good.

Mine has cup suspension fitted, i have been thinking about getting lowering springs though as with the 16inch clio wheels i think it would look better lowering the body to them a little bit.

Previous owner put on the same discs and pads as you actually which are nice.

Ive had the ITG induction kit on my wishlist for a while now, it just has a generic pod filter currently as the old filter needed replacing and the car came with this pod so i just put it on for now. Un shrouded so loses power, but does sound good.

Yeah I’d defo recommend itg kit… expensive but looks the business and also sounds great. Nothing cheap about it. Most OEM looking kit I’ve seen.

I’ll get a new thread started once I’ve finished the refurb and update on mine. It’s also had paint protection film fitted from new so has zero paint chips either! I’m actually reluctant to use it but might get it to a few car shows in the summer up in the north east of England in 2025 💪
