Hey guys,

Picked my first car up from Renault just under a week ago, 59 plate Twingo GT & I think I may have accidentally already spent the next 10 years wages in my mind

Since its my first car my insurance is still killing me so keeping physical mods to a low at first. I want to add a new stereo and sound system next 2/3 months, then full respray, thinking white, black or a gun metal grey, although I may have to avoid the temptation to go for something more bold, believe my current one is athriaciate (steel blue sort of colour) look at getting some detailing done and new set of rims.

Eventually when insurance starts dropping i want to drop the suspension, maybe go up to 16/17" rims, start looking at upgrading the performance.

Sooo yeah thats student finance and all my wages exhausted I think  anyone got any other ideas or tips ill be happy to listen, been reading these forums all week lol

Dan

Welcome to the forum, ever thought of vinyl over a Respray? For insurance purpose

Whats the finish like on it compared against paint? I have thought about it but my OCD tells me I want the best possible finish I can lol

Been trying to find places to get quotes from and I think the last one was around £3500 for a full respray show finish.. considering I only paid £4000 for the car itself might be a little over the top

High quality vinyl would be close to unnoticeable and you get a warranty in most cases - it's more difficult to keep clean and care for than a paint job but with the right care it will stay nice and glossy.

It would cost around £500-£700 for a very good quality wrap.

Thats not bad, ive just brought a pressure washer, looking at getting a snow foamer and i got about £350 worth for autoglym kits for £8 from work lol gotta love working in B&Q because no one goes there for care stuff when it comes to clearance sales they mark the car stuff done stupidly low.

May have to look at wraps, think paint would still be my first choice but I'll probably wrap it as a temp job to see what it looks like whilst finishing the rest of the car. Do you know of any good shops? Preferrably South East or London way
