Also i actually know nothing about these little cars, bought it entirely on looks!

Are workshop manuals readily available for them?
Nope but if you have a problem someone here can get you the workshop guide to Fix it

Brill thank you.

Havent ever worked on anything older than 98 so a lot could be new to me, literally :p
Renaults have been the same since 98 really so dont worry lol

haha yep, the engine in the twingo 133 was designed in 1989 and first introduced in the early to mid 90's (95 or something iirc). that 265/275 megane lump in the current megane model is an F4R engine which is essentially the same engine that was in the clio 172 sport was first introduced in 1993. obviously tweaked greatly over the years, but you could still bolt pretty much everything from a 1993 F4R onto a 2014 F4R within reason.

good old renault for god sake!

Wow ok then. Not to dissimilar to Toyota.

I take it that means there are some bargains to be had with service parts etc. Like i used lexus parts on my toyota to save the pennies.

yeah man, you just need to know what to look for. you can go genuine renault, but theres really no need. you'll no doubt be aware that there are plenty of awesome aftermarket oe quality oil filter manufacturers out there etc which offer better quality or just as good quality at the minimum. for example oe oil filters on renault are purflex, would i fit one to my car? honestly, probably not mate!

obviously you'll want to stick with the usual ngk spark plugs lol.
technical-stuff-f120/ you'll find just about everything you'll need to work on your car, and if you seach 'mediafire' in the search box mate you'll find a mediafire zip link i've posted more than a few times which will give you the twingo workshop manual. the knowledge base on this forum is massive :D

Brill thanks again.

Ill hopefully collect the car early evening next week as im off to Sonisphere for the weekend thursday and waiting for funds to clear from the Supra sale.

Then fingers crossed wont need any work for a while.

Will probably chuck a mini service together even though its only done 20k just so i know. Ordered some oil from Opie for her already.

Deposit paid, so hopefully all is in order when i go to collect the car!

Where can i buy the bits mentioned above as ebay does not seem to be bringing any results back.
