cams are still in progress. Not that I'm getting impatient to get the headwork done and get it fitted :)

How's that gone Neil? Couldn't see your thread to reply there

And not sure turbo is the way to go. Good luck getting the compression down... Isn't it the highest compression engine Renaults made to date?

Slowly. Matt said it would be about a 12 week lead time :( which was 10 weeks ago...

You can turbocharge or supercharge any engine regardless of its compression ratios, if you make sure to adopt an intercooler and make sure the boost isn't outlandish. Higher octane rated fuel, ron99. Sorted.

Remind me to avoid any engine you breath your magic on.

And I never said you couldnt. Tbh if you wanted to though why wouldn't you just start with a decent base for that kind of set up? For the effort an f4rt would be better surely?

We're on a twingo forum, not a lambo forum. A twingo is not a fast car, never has been and never will be. Tricky to forcefully induct a mere little 1.6 renault engine stamped with a "sport" loge? I think yer in denial chief.

Hang on I'm not the one suggesting what you are...? Or have I missed something...?

The beauty of the twingo is its slightly underpowered and the chassis of the rs shines through.

You could fit a low pressure turbo but the gains aren't going to be earth shattering like they could be from dropping the C/R and upping the boost pressure .

anyway, back onto the topic of saying hello :)
