Surely a facelift is merely a change in exterior design and body shape.
No real performance, engine or the likes are changed in a facelift?

If any different it's just the new model right?

Some companies do. The 200 is quite a different car to teh 197 i understand, but it did only amount to a lot of updates rather than thoroughly reworking?

The swift is an all new model so the differences would be expected. I hope renault don't go to war on this, the beauty of the 133 is it's underpowered and the chassis shines through and it's just simply a simple, fun car to drive. If they start worrying about what other people do, it would loose that's magic

+1

Just hope they don't go chasing the numbers game. More doesn't automatically mean better. I don't think they will as the next twingo being a def facelift, the money will be invested in in the proper new twingo.

The other thing is has the RS133 been a big seller, if not I'll be supprised if we do actually see a new facelift one, and the next RS to come with the new "smart" based one, if at all.

New facelifted RS Twingo has already been confirmed over on RSUK.

I know it's been confirmed but I wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't actually happen

The 133 hasn't really been a very big seller for ruk at all. There's only a couple of hundred 133's around compared to a couple of thousand 197's and a fair few 200's. That;s why noone will make any tuning parts for them.

Well. This has now officially appeared - and it's as expected really.

don't like. The bumpers and sideskirts look aftermarketly glued-on and the most characteristic item - the dual exhaust - has been removed.

sure this "x-ite" labeled model is going to be the next SSS?

The pics I saw had twin exhausts yesterday? Can't remember where that was though

I think the suzuki is a much more attractive car than the ph2 133 now...

Looking at it, I would sumise that this Xcite is the new Attitude, but I could be wrong.

A concept is after all just that...if this is the new SSS, I am dissapointed...

Ok, This is apparently the swift sport at frankfurt. Other one was a slightly different model. I'm afraid to say it, but it might be winning on looks over the new 133, and a six speed box could be nice....

like the outside and 6 speed box is definitely a good thing. wish renault would realise this with the twingo

Cheap and tacky springs to mind!

Compared to the Twingo!? The build quality and quality of the materials in the Swift are way, way better than the Twingo.

Looks brilliant this does, face lifted Twingo is going to really struggle providing this new swift is an exact competitor price wise.
