Hi all here's my pitch.. I'm an RS clio owner and use their forums for myself however.. My younger cousin has bought himself a clio GT 1.6 vvt and is constantly pestering me for mods and advise I sometimes put threads on "other forums" and they don't get much help as none of them know much about the GT.. So I ask is anyone on here abled to tell me if the top mounts for the GT are the same as a regular mk3 clio, as my cousin wants some springs also an aftermarket exhaust, I've told him about powerflow but just thought I'd ask. Also the twingo is the same engine as the GT or similar at least are there any recommendable upgrades or mods for him there along the lines of induction etc? Any help appreciated lads cheers.

hello mate. have a browse around over various twingo rs threads and progress threads on here, all you need is a mouse! :p

plenty of modifications available from cams and throttle bodies to bc racing coilovers. yes the top mounts are the same, clio 182 top mounts fit the entire renault range outside of the 5 stud motors as a rule of thumb. they are the same engines, just the clio gt is in a lower state of tune than the twingo and isn't anywhere near as fast or agile at 128bhp / 133 bhp respectively.

@oscar I will do when I'm on the laptop it's too irritating from a phone haha, and that's some good knowledge gained already! Also I've drove the twingo rs a friend has a white one, cracking car so energetic to drive, I tried to sway my cousin into getting one but the clio's size was more suited apparently.. Thanks for the reply mate.

no worries mate, there are a couple of big builds on here from nurburgring 200 + bhp specials to 160/170 bhp cammed & ITB builds + endless threads on peoples progress threads. induction wise it seems BMC CDA set ups are very popular, gives on hell of a roar and probably will loose 1 or 2 bhp but it won't be noticeable i'd suspect!
