newbee looking to cash buy asap

im dan, a long time vw addict/owner but ive decided to scratch an itch and cross over to the darkside ( jap and french lol)and have just sold my show winning new beetle track car and our mk5 golf gttdi 4 motion and bought a civic type r and am now looking for a twingo rs 133
sold my bug last weekend so im on the hunt for a good twingo, with low miles and good history , my budget is £4.5-£6k

im a porsche interior specialist by trade so will probably start messing with the interior once i find a decent car!
help me out people and point me in the direction of a good car hopefully in southern england somewhere

Welcome along! That is a beautiful beetle. I used to love my VW's but decided to go French, and tbh it was one of the best decisions I made. There is a lot of knowledgeable guys on here who can help out. Also check the For Sale section, there is sometimes some Twingo's on there for sale.

heres the civic, its now my wifes daily to replace our golf as she got a job closer to home so we could be a bit less sensible
love it so far,hasnt got the build quality of the golf but makes up for it in so many other ways

all the twingos im finding seem to be miles away though
btw any major things i should definitely look out for??

Lower ball joint rubbers being split are one to watch for if its out of warranty especially because it's quite expensive because they have to replace the whole lower arm and they're prone to going

matts car is a bit pricey(and a bit lairy) for me , im an old git and want a break from the modified attention grabbing stuff, although i would like a white or grey one

been into dubs for 25+ years but as i said ive always really liked the whole 'renaultsport' thing and after buying jap for the first time recently i thought id go the whole hog and try something french !!!!

the civics a strange colour gonzalez, its called deep pearl bronze , it looks black most of the time but when the sun is on it, its actually a really dark brown with a gold pearl, like a root beer colour
took a while to realise it wasnt black , due to our lack of sun lol

Ooh so it changes colour...cool lol. Sounds like a school friend of mines dad accord type r which was midnight purple, looked black until the sun hits it (and was clean) then you saw all the purple effect in it

well folks its been short but sweet, after much deliberation, a lot of research and test drives , i decided a twingo wasnt for me and have instead just bought a clio 197
