Looking good...

did you remove & spray the badge yourself or buy a new badge seperately?

Loving the wheels :)

They're covers from underground parts on eBay made from white plastic and stick over the original diamond, they won't stone chip as they aren't sprayed and you cant really tell they're covers as its such a good fit.

Thanks I love the wheels! We're sort of unsure to begin with but the cars finally looking good! Seems a dramatic change from a few weeks ago lol

I've just ordered a set of badges...

I prefer the white detailing / accents than the silver / chrome as stock. Especially on a contrasting blue bodywork colour.

I wasn't sure on them to start with as they look and feel cheap, but when they're on you don't notice that as such.

Oh update: coilovers have arrived.

They're only going on a GT so they dont really have to be that noticeable, its not as if it's a show car :/

what Coilovers have you gone for?

Went for Weitecs as I blew my budget on wheels as well, otherwise I would e got BC racing but because I don't use my car often I'm not bothered and will get a track/fast road geometry setup at Northampton Motorsport.

Also have the same factory setup as KWs as they are basically KW V1s and there's very little difference between weitec and kw

So the twingo is going to standard as everyone knows and I'm getting a new car, worked a deal out today on a car and I'm going back in tomorrow morning to whack my deposit down and hopefully it'll get transferred to my local dealer within 2 weeks!

Here's the possible replacement providing the car is up to my standards, haters gonna hate.

Oh dear. Common as muck. ;)

Not white VXRs ;) only 500 Arctics made so rarer than a Gordini ;)

Only thing is I never realised tax was £40 more than a standard VXR and its abit more on insurance

But I also forgot my parents car is due to be ready completed in 2 months and that's white too.... Going to look interesting with 2 white cars to say the least

Did they not do something to make the Arctics handle better than the standard VXR's? I know it was the Astra VXR's that handle like pigs. My mate has the Nuremberg edition Astra and it's an absolute rocket in a straight line.

Arctics are basically just white have a sunroof and a Remus exhaust with precat delete and more powerful as standard, 204bhp over the standard 189, handling is no different the corsa burg has a LSD and more track focused suspension otherwise pretty much the same power as an arctic.

Astra VXRs handle not as well due to so much power through the front wheels and soooo much torque steer, the new Astra VXR has a much better chassis and setup but still won't be as nimble as a 265, but every car has pros and cons.

The upgrade! Finally saw it in the flesh today and test drove it all before prep so I picked up on everything that I saw was wrong and checked the service history and previous MOTs and it's not in bad shape considering the age and I've manage to get them to respray the front to get rid of the stonechips! My twingo has more stonechips than that did too..

Collection date is this Friday :D feels a lot faster than the twingo and definately goes more and sounds epic with the Remus exhaust system.

Not got any performance mods planned except maybe a bigger brake setup as there's group buys on VXRonline for the brembo big brake kit, then just panel filter and cosmetic things, and I'll be getting the VXmmi sat nav/stereo system fitted later in the year adding that on as its the optional extra from factory.
