lool thats why i want launch control set it to about 3.5k revs sit in a traffic jam and press the magic button

my Q is will it fit to an RS can it be build in the original ECU or is it a massive hassle and also wondering i read somewhere that your CAT on your exhaust system doesnt like this sort of thing or is it a rumor ?

The cat will get destroyed in the process and they aren't exactly easy to get to or replace.

No reason why it wouldn't work but it depends if you're confident chopping up ECU / Ignition wires? You can say bye to virtually the entire warranty if you do (if you have warranty that is...).

I'm not sure about the GT, but as Matt mentions, the cat/manifold is a pain to remove. 5 hours for the full exhaust swap.

i know it will blow the **** out of the cat. my bro had a piper cat back on his mk6 zetec s and a month after getting it he had no cat left what so ever. it dosnt bother me if i end up with no cat as i can get it passed on a mot

it depends what rpm u have it set to like 3k made flames and bangs it was very harsh on the cat, 4k was best for launching also produced a few pops but was not as harsh on the cat. well that what the company where he got it installed said.

well if i had that it will be more for hooniganism i have to admit like to do some pops and bangs in a tunnel i would giggle like a little girl but if the cat has to suffer and eventually die and not getting trough MOT cause of failed emission test then it will be a no go

if you use henk's launch control it wont damage the cat, its antilag you cant use with a cat, not launch control
