Open pit lane track days

Al, i know you should have a renault rs/gt to go on track, thats why i havnt been on an rs day for about 5-6 years coz i turned up at a rs day at brands with my 5gtt on its trailer ready for action only to have some little know it all tell me "its not an rs ,your not welcome"!!
i should get over it and get back in the rs days.

i was asking about the silverstone days karl posted in the first post, i didnt realise these were rs days??thought they were just open to all days??

I haven't been to one yet without an 5GT so no idea who or why they turned you away!

I think Karl's one are open to all; I just meant that the two biggest reasons (from what I gather on here) for those who want to do a trackday are a: fear of cars destruction and b: cost and the RS ones are subsidised so are generally always cheaper than open to all.

iv got afew jobs to do on the beast but il have to get back on the rs days soon

The 5GT should have been welcome, it is included on the list of eligible cars

How do we get on the RS track days then ?

Keep checking the RS website, although all the last one listed is 22nd Sept and it is showing as being full.

i'd advice anyone who hasnt been on track to attend the RS day first. as Al said its limited to renaults so your not getting £££££ worth of car or Massive ponies wanting to deep throat your car.
and found it easier to have a good chat as everyones in the same car camp so to speak.
gutted could do this year, but have booked november slot off for silvers track day so hopefuly...

I'm gona make it my mission to get my car sorted and back on the rs calendar for nxt year



I used to love the rs days! Even when I had just rebuilt my engine I drove around slow as **** with a "running in please pass" sticker in the window .

All the guys there were great guys who were glad to help you out so u didn't have all the bravado of normal open track days where "im the fastest"
