First time I've seen these before! They are awesome loads of videos on YouTube and you can paint and design ya own shells for the cars and everything! Lets get sideways!!!!!

Ill have to get a video of mine, Danmotorsport and jamiec2's rc drift cars. There great fun, just find a decent and cheap one on eBay and you'll be sorted. Parts are fairly cheap to.

How much is a decent cheap one ?

Look on the driftworks forum, they have a section for RC drifting, a decent good one is just over £100 I guess but you'll find cheaper ones easily enough through google ;)

£100 is a good one ? So £50 will get me one for a bit of a mess about with ?

Check eBay ;).

Just looked on driftworks and people seem to spend £3-£500 on them

Looked through eBay there's a few cheap ones about ~£50 which would be a hoot to just play with in an open area without getting into it seriously.

Racing RC cars can cost A LOT more than that...

If you don't want to spend so much on an RC drift car you can always get one of the small indoor ones, perfect for wooden floors. 1:24 Cost about £20 but what you really want is a 1:10 AWD car such as Tamiya TT01 which is a great starting point. Teamed with some different tyres, larger motor, esc and battery you can get some decent speed from them. Countersteer/overdrive modifications allow for realistic drifting.

Don't make the mistake into thinking you should get a RWD RC car, it's incredibly difficult to drift these. Remember, it may be 1:10 of the scale but it's a lot less than 1:10 of the weight and a lot more than 1:10 of the power.

Me and Charlie have a tt01. Motor was decent so just stuck drift tyres on it and its awesome.

Me and my brother used to drive in competition with RC cars on mud, grass and indoor.

Very expensive hobby (I shit you not)

I still have my carbon fibre AWD buggy.

My brother drove a RWD Tamiya.

We have so many spare parts still laying around. Few years ago we placed some batteries in them and they still run well. Especially the RWD Tamiya is fun for drifting around.
Except the batteries need to be replaced after so many years.

Edit:

Found a picture of the track we used to practice

Some suggested a HPI RS4 with a "D'' conversion kit to me earlier
Is it possible to buy a car bit by bit ? Then I don't have to she'll put and I can still save for ma rimzzzzzz :)

Here's mine, will have to get a video of it sometime
