So... to top yesterday off, I go to pick my car up/ hand the courtesy back and the woman talks me through the MOT & Service and tells me it failed on TWO things!! I look at her confused, telling her I was told on the phone that it only failed on the NS track rod end but she says its also failed due to there being restriction of free movement in the brakes (or something along those lines). At this point you can imagine my frustation when I tell her that I was told my brake discs and pads were an advisory so she then gives me quotes on how much it would cost for them to repair this to which I tell her I am taking the car elsewhere. She then preceeds to tell me on the way out to my car that it will need to be retested by them and I tell her no it's getting done somewhere else.
To top it all of! Dropped my car off at the trusted garage this morning and receive a phone call at work to say that Arnold Shark have not carried out some of the service changes - FUMING! Plus he informs me that indeed my brake discs and pads should be changed (not an advisory!) as they are badly corroded. So he's carrying out all this work; MOT retest, replacing brake discs & pads, track rod end and any service parts they may have missed for the grand total of £170. Compared to Arnold Sharks grand total of approx £350!
Angry email is heading their way
