today went out for a big drive and finally managed to get the chance to use the 0-62 mph timer.

bare in mind i havent modified any of my engine yet. renault were a little off there time :p renault states the twingo can do in in 8.8 sec. were as i manged to get it down to 7.5 sec. so will be very interesting to see how it changes once start doing bits to it.

Can you get up pictures of the different screens , i maybe want to get that in my gordini also =o

Can't retrofit afaik? At least if you can it will be a lot of work

i can get up pics if you still would like. but i dont think u can fit as an after market thing, as ther is all the sensors to put in as well as screen

And not compatible with the stereo in the dini is it? SO if it wasn't specced its not available?

That's a good time BTW i think the biggest limiting factor is traction and driver ability

I've always sworn blind the 133 is capable of more than 8.8 easily

well you have been right :) i was suprised by the time, i know manufactures are normally reserved by there times, but for it to be over a second quicker. and thats with everything standard, even the toilet paper air filter :p

can you get a pick?

will try adn get some pics, its difficut though, as the timers reset when stop the car so have to keep driving whilst trying to take the pics, so all teh ones got are blurry and cannot read but will show what i got.

so all the times reset them self when you stop the car? .. so you even dont have your record times in memory no more?

do you mean the traction control? can you turn it on or off in the Twingo?

Not what I meant. But to answer you, yes. You can fully turn it off in the 133.

What's the point without pub bragging rights lol

i know what you mean.

no they dont save or record, its a case of as soon as car stops they reset themseleves back to zero ready to start off again, most annpying, as trying to drive and take a pic that isnt blurry is very difficult :p

Not something you want to admit ;)

at the end of the stretch was an empty carpark where i was meeting cousin so i tried to get one in there. but still driving at less than 1 mph and taking a steady photo still aint easy as every thing is still bouncing this way and that. :p

7.5 seconds is an impressive time I must admit. Bearing in mind the Clio 172's official 0-60 time was about 7.0 seconds!!

That said I have read of manufacturers being conservative with performance figures. I've heard that it's partly down to keeping insurance groups down but also I guess it could be their way of defining each car in their range.

For example people see that a Clio 200 can do 0-60 in 6.8 seconds or whatever it is. Customers would want to know that the extra they are paying out for a 200 means they're getting a significantly faster car than 133 that hits 60 in 8.8 seconds. If that makes sense haha
