Thinking of getting the roof wrapped, a) cos it looks good and b) to mask scratches.

There's a bloke up here specialising in vehicle graphics (seems approved) and he'd charge £260...does that sound about right?

Far far far too much.

Robbie at valet magic quoted £130
And he's one of the top in the country.

I paid £170 for what I thought would be a premium job but it was removed after issues

Looked good otherwise though

That's far too much! got charged £60 for my old Corsa roof to be done in Black, but that was a mates company... £130 sounds about right!

£260 sounds alot, I would expect more of Maggi's quote range, I think the place down the road from me charges around £140-150 for a small car

Cheers for that guys, will try somewhere else.

Maggi - I take it the place you went to did the job same day without your car needing to be left overnight?

Well...

Took it in the morning, left it the day and picked it up the evening. Went back inside before leaving to point out that the edge had lifted (which can happen to be fair) and a few small rips. Promised it would be redone later that week.

Went back, left again all day. THe edge had been cut back to remove the part that had lifted (leaving a wonky line) and the rip had been covered with a 'plaster' of additional wrap which looked totally gash. Not sure what the guy thought was going to be said about it, but the company told me it was unacceptable and he wouldn't be wrapping again with them..

Result was a third trip back for me to remove the wrap with them and then get my money back in full.

Gareth used RObbie for his and it was done in a matter of hours but he only does it on Fridays, hence I've not been there yet as it means a day off as he's just a little too far for me (he's ascot so about 45 mins)

Wow sounds like you had a fair bit of hassle! Ascot is about 5 hours from me, mind you could be a good excuse to go and see a mate in Woking

Plus he's always got a Load of gtrs and other exotic material in his unit and is a top bloke

Niiiiiice something good to look at while the work's being done. I can definitely see the attraction to wrapping now, wasn't keen at first until I realised how soft and subject to damage the paint seems to be, or is it just me?

my mate paul. hes amazing, check his website out and look at some of the wraps hes done, hes based in mansfield in the midlands which is only a couple of hours away, i can fully gurantee his work!!!

I had my roof wrapped in black gloss vinyl by "totally dynamics", there a franchise and are all over the country! They charged me £220 and they have done a fantastic job, u wdnt even know it was wrapped :)

Thing is they're only as good as the franchisee. So personal recommendation is a must

I understand, i got mine done by a guy in Bradford (about 30 mins away from me) on the outskirts of Leeds. If any of you live near I would recommend him, was a bit pricey but worth it! My roofs been on a few months now and had no problems :)

What colour's best on a black car? Wasn't too sure whether carbon wrapping would look that good on the roof in contrast to the pearl black body
