£260 for a roof wrap? Bloody hell thats a lot.

I had our 200's roof wrapped by Totally Dynamic for £100 and it came with a years warranty. Essentially meaning if it faded or anything like that within the 1st year they replaced it for free.

Well I'm definitely going to go ahead with this bit before I do, what are people's thoughts on carbon fibre wrapping? Black vinyl looks great on white and even red cars but there'll be a colour clash on my black RS. So should i go for carbon fibre instead? :?

Got a quote today from a guy local to me for £130 - his work is on his Facebook page and looks impressive.

I've noticed that most other cars have a gap between the roof and the door, whereas on the Twingo the gap is the door itself (if you see what I mean).

Does that matter, or is it still easy for the vinyl to 'stick' down rather than being wrapped around the edge of the roof?

And those of you that have had the wrapping done - was it necessary to tell your insurance company?

Sorry for the twenty questions lol, I'm just debating whether to go ahead and get it done or just opt for a respray of the roof. There are scratches on there, a mixture of the previous owner shoving it through an automatic wash and seagulls up here trampling all over the roof.

Always notify your insurance regardless of how small the modification is.

On the carbon fibre subject. Totally Dynamic do a gloss/wet look carbon fibre vinyl that looks the muts nuts. I'd do for that if I was going down the CF route. The matte CF wrap just doesn't work IMO.

Noddie - glad you mentioned that bud, cos the insurer has told me with a roof wrap my car would not be eligible for cover anymore. Roof respray it is instead!

putting a big carbon go faster sticker on your roof's going to make your car uninsurable? weird, i wrapped my whole car lime green and carbon fibre black bonnet roof and boot & the insurance company said that they'd change the policy to take into note the new color. they listed it as a protective modification to protect my paint work. who are you with insurance wise? thats surely a joke!

Ridiculous isn't it! Quotemehappy.com. I actually did explain to them it would be non-permanent too
