Thats the second one that I've bent, so I had a look into something a bit stronger. The problem being theres a large variation in angle over the range of the steering. Hopefully these survive as they run out of travel just before full lock, so I have slight doubts but theres some sideways spring in the ARB which allows some give. I've set the links longer than the originals, to take account of the drop in ride height.

Whilst mine are still looking ok with no sign of the locknuts coming loose from the bearing being forced too far by the steering, it may be worth while going up to M12 bearings etc above and using high misalignment reducers to use 10mm bolts in 12mm bearings. This would allow a greater angle for the bearings so they wouldnt run out of travel.

Then, four 8.8 grade M10 bolts with a plain section long enough to support the bearing and spacers and go into the roll bar or damper bracket. Yes you could use M10 setscrews which are threaded all the way but they won't be as strong against shear forces. Nylocs and washers. I needed an extra couple of washers on the inside of the damper brackets to move the turnbuckle away from the bottom of the damper on full lock.

Well, that would be one way to look at it. At the rolling road meet on SteC's rollers, it showed 165 corrected, which is 9 lower and only a few days later with nothing changed other than a couple of tanks of optimax being used. Site's rollers showed within 1-2hp difference for a Clio which was on RSt a week before, so draw your own conclusion. Going from 165 down to 160 is fine by me, as the mid range was massively better.LiamR172":2ngee4gk said:I had the silver ph 2 172.

I only signed up to read your thread really as mike had mentioned you were running bodies.
Am I right in saying that the power figure ktec gave you was alot higher than it actually was? And now with the bodies it's around 160 bhp @RSTuning?
