I do love Killin, Glen Coe and surrounding areas. My gran stays in Lochearnhead to so it's pretty much my neck of the woods.

Some gorgeous roads north and west of loch earn.

Just thought the northerners would like somewhere a little closer :)

Blair Atholl is about as central as I can come up with for us Northerners and the Glasgow massive.

Theres some nice roads to the west of the A9, over to the Trinafour direction

I was very near to there for this years IRC Round of the Scottish, some very nice roads indeed. (actually, I was 2 miles away from there in Tummel Forest )

Kelly, this is next year, roughly April from what people have been saying - gives you a chance to get some good tyres ;)

Ah i see, and my ditch finders seriously need flung in a ditch! (not along with the car) ..

I've had a word with Matt, about working in a distillery tour into the meet. which may be a good idea if the weather is doing it's stuff :(

Blair Athol distillery is actualy in Pitlochy, so reasonably central to us northerners and the Glasgow crowd.. Meet up for the tour and then hit some of the roads to the west or the A9 for a run and some photos. Ending up in Blair Atholl for a chat before dispersing or stay over. (order of events could be changed). Camping ar Blair Athol campsite is apparently prety good according to my Mrs

Matt has a contact for tour, as he works with the group... But before he makes anymore enquiries for a dedicated tour or a reduced rate, is anyone else intersted? Not that he can guarantee anything
On the website, a tour is £5 per person unless we have 20 people, so it wouldn't be more than this (subject to price rise next season)

Nothing yet.

It needs a mutual meeting point to be decided, but that also depends on what Distillery I can wrangle a tour for :p Dalwhinnie's roughly as far North as Blair Athol but it's down to everyone to decide

We need a date roughly too , im away 2 weeks on 2 weeks off as of 1st January so as long as its towards the end of a month ill be good for this.

Ill go to either distillerys , let you guys choose as im not a huge drinker.

As theres not much around Dalwhinnie, I think the Blair/Pitlochry has more to offer if the thinking is tour <-> drive, bar and possible camp.

Sat 21st April would save everything being closed before the Easter break and means theres less need (for most) to rush off for work on Monday.
