Driving about an hour ago and pull up to some lights next to a Volvo C30... hes revving his engine looking at me so i thought what the heck and floored it when the lights came on.
This guy pulls away like a Ferrari, he was at 60 before I was at 30 i'm sure. This Volvo looked completely stock but i'm sure it had something crazy going on in that engine bay...
Is a turbo viable on the 133? Need more power!

When the new clio RS make an appearence over here, check the turbo's out for them, iirc it's the same engine but with a different compression?

Was with the understanding the new Clio RS engine is from the Nissan juke...

Most diesel reps will out drag a twingo. Easily.

Life is about more than traffic light gp.

And compression would make a turbo set up harder, not impossible though, they do exist for other variances of the 1.6. I also thought they new engine was Nissan sourced but not sure where I read it.

While i'm deciding if I should go the turbo route what other mods can I fit? Preferably ones that wont kill my warranty.

I doubt there much you can do without affecting the warranty.

Unless you want to do a Clio 200 engine swap and claim that's there all standard parts with warranty :p

lol thought as much

You can get a 2.4l petrol in the c30, with 170bhp, and 170lb/ft so wouldn't be surprised if you got beaten by one of them.

Couldn't you get the 5 pot turbo in them at one point too? Hard to spot as loads are r design so never know what it's pulling

Just looked up the 2.5 5 cylinder turbo for the c30. Appears to be 230bhp & 236lb/ft torque, so a pretty speedy beast. (although earlier versions of the T5 give it 220bhp)

Apparently the c30 version of the 2.5t (B5254T & B5254T7) are slightly different to the one used in the Focus ST and RS. The one in the focus is the B5254T which is also in the volvo s40 & v40 T5s. I believe the only real difference between the two of those versions is turbo design though

Honestly, if you were sold on a Twingo on its drag abilities you should get a refund. It's just not a fast car.

It will go round a corner hard enough to snap your neck while the C30 carries straight on into someone's office though, and that's what makes it so good.
