I got my 2 bedroom flat for £134,00 and that was cheap because I had to spend like 15-20k on it to make it decent.

Although could be London rates so I guess you have to look on the bright side.

I work for barclays, one loan won't make a great deal of difference and we tend to lend s minimum of 4 x salary, sometimes higher, deposit is most important at the mo!

Is past credit history an issue or is a decision based more on serviceability and recovery at time of application? i.e. can they afford repayments, if not, is deposit sufficient that we won't lose out on respossession.

I move to Aberdeen soon but I have 2500 relocation allowance so using that to rent a room for 5-6 month save up double what I normally would then buy hopefully something round the outskirts like a 2 bed bungalow for 125 ish ...

I moved away from London(sh*t hole) 5 years ago.....we sold a 2 bed terrace house for 225000, and brought a lovely newish 3 bed detached for 210000 in Wychbold(Worcester) - best move we ever made, currently looking to buy a 4 bed around the corner for a whopping 242000 - what could you get in London for that?

Think my parents paid £40,000 for a new 4 bed single garage erm.... 12 years ago here in Leicester. Forgot to mention its a detached

Previously we use to live in army officer married quarters all over Germany and in Northern Ireland for abit. Living with other army brats was so much better than normal English people :lol:
