Nah the love is still there! It's just renault that annoy me

Slightly off subject, but is it renault that supply a courtesy car, or is it the dealer? Because my service department at the dealer said that they can't give me one if I'm under 25! i kicked up a stink but they wouldn't give in and said that they can get me an enterprise car, but its £15 a day for ME to pay! B******s...!

Presume its the dealer. Karl maybe able to clarify. Also presume the under 25 thing is due to their insurance?

My local co-op did once try to charge me £10 for the courtesy car, saying it was something to do with their insurance. I pointed out that I have bought my last five cars from them and they may want to waver that, they soon did, and Lady on the service desk doesn't even mention any charge now to me.

It must be dealer based. When using co-op Nottingham they never offered me any kind of (free) courtesy car or lift into town etc. Using Smiths in Peterborough, they told me I could wait, have a lift into town, or a courtesy car. Courtesy car should to me always imply free - otherwise it's a loan car.

Exactly. They were pretty much my words when speaking to them.

if it is a warranty item then the dealer can claim the courtesy car costs back from Renault but if its just a service etc then its down to the dealer to offer cars.
the age thing will be down to the dealers insurance.

good luck with getting the car all fixed maggi.
and hope ur foot bets better soon!!

I'm with aviva and they allow you to receive complimentary cover, so when I had my courtesy car didn't pay a penny!

An wouldn't pay a penny either!

Think you'll find lots of dealers loan cars through companies like enterprise (both mercedes and renault have done the same for me now). Had a corsa 1.4 design with every option for a month when I was 19 FOC. Renault have organised one for me tomorrow morning, was offered. I'm 22 and not once was insurance mentioned, but if it's an issue your insurance company should cover it and any good dealer should cover the cost. You'll probably find their policy simply doesn't cover under 25's amd they're not ebing arses about it

It's just really bugged me, it's my second car from them, my mums just ordered her third, my step nan is on her third, my other step nan just ordered one, both my cousins have cars from them and one of my mates too..! That not enough business for them?

SLOOOW doesn't really cover it. No power. No torque to make up for the no power. No revs. Lots of roll. ANd can't even make up for it with looks. And the centre console makes the seating position soo very uncomfortable!

Hoping it's only a couple of days. it was in the workshop and wheels coming off before I left just before 9 this morning.

Nah I'll wash it

Gotta say, renault have really impressed me so far with their service.

Haha I knew you would say that! Wash a car thats worth it, I'll bring mine over yeah :p

From the experience I've had with them its not been to bad really, as there are plenty of horror stories out there!

Merc were rubbish compared. In every area, including their apparently superb coffee. I can go in, have a good chat at renault, I know many faces and they're all friendly, all talk to each other and actually get things done. Impressed to say the least. But until I actually get my car back to a level I'm satisfied with, I'll hold my breath :p

Well renault called and they've checked various parts and couldn't pin point the problem. Thing is, it's horrible to drive. Can feel something crunching as you move along, feels uneasy in the corners and bouncy (although it doesn't roll still). Which si wierd. I told the bloke to take it for a drive and see if it makes it any clearer, hopefully it will. But sucks :(
