The adaptor didn't come with a black box.

It's a connects 2 harness and the connects 2 adaptor didn't work do I bought the kne you linked but that doesn't fit

Oh, sorry about that mate. My stalk adaptor (first link I put) seems to work with just the lower spec models then if it wouldn't fit your 133.

I was advised that I needed a canbus one but they were stupidly expensive so I took a chance on a clio one which fit.

Is the yellow plug coming from your cars steering wheel stalk thing a little yellow square? Or more of a long flat rectangle?

Nah it's a 16 pin male adaptor and the one I bought today was 12 pin male adaptor. However, the connects 2 which plugs in but does nothing fits. But doesn't fit carries. I think she must have the harness this fits to, so will look at hers and see it it is. Otherwise someone here can have it lol

Not the end of the world since it motivated me to fix my under seat sub today (I accident cut the wires when replacing the seats  ) so not wasted time

Ah there you go then! It was fate or something :D just cleaned mine after a sandy holiday, I'll have a look behind the stereo and try to get some pictures.

Why do manufacturers make everything so complicated, why cant they just adopt a bloody standard for connectors!

The stalk adapter is'nt working, so looks like a replacement is required which sucks a bit, maggi112 i hope you have better success!

Hopefully i'll sort it out this weekend coming. I'll have both cars and both adaptors to hand to be able to look at and compare!

So this is the bad boy

Auto leads pc99x01 for the adaptor with the pc99alp to hook it up. Then an iso adaptor (they sell one... Pc9205 to go to the headunit) but as we both had adaptors in there anyway we didn't need one.

Turns out its for cars without screens. Although an adaptor is available in addition (pc9 201) to allow the screen to work. And I think that would still work. We both have cups though so no screen.

Now I've got to take the lower dash out and fit all the cables neatly cos it's very tight back there and with adaptor after adaptor going on to actually make it work... It's not really gonna fit easily.

We found carries adaptor for £6 all in and I paid £17 in the end off eBay. Not really that bad considering.

Hope this helps anyone who's had the issue and tried the connects 2 one (which never worked)

That's fab glad you got it working. All that trouble for steering controls ay :) Thanks for the update.

Haha spoke to soon. Mine only changes source and volume it seems. Not sure why but I think it's the age of the headunit. But I may be wrong. I'll swap them round and see if it does it on carries

So, besides wires going into one side of a connector as one colour and coming out another colour, whats going on there?

Couldn't half the plastic connectors be done away with

Yes and I'm going to take it out and make it into one wiring adaptor this weekend whilst reviewing all redundant cables and making it as compact as possible.
