ok so i know its no twingo but thought some of u might like to see it anyway!!
i do some work for a company that specialise in tuning/racing scoobies and got the chance to buy this cheap as a customer didnt want it!!
iv owned afew scoobs before and hav been lucky enough to work or some of the fastest ones in europe!!
most of the ones iv owned have been dogs that have been thrashed to death but this one is mint and has had a very easy life, infact other than the later alloys its pretty standard!!
perfect for a drag project

how it was when we picked it up...........

Nice car but nothing on a evo :p

i had an evo 6 but it was a nightmare to work on, bits were mega money and it went thro them like nothing, it went wrong alot when tuned, insurance was a killer and evo's dont have the sexy flat noise that makes my house shake!!!!!!
plus evo doesnt really make for much of a sleeper car

Evo's just look to good making everything else not matter :p

iv just ordered lots of bits so il post some pics when things arrive

thats the easy bit done...
now for the cash and the graft!!!

i am stripping it now (nearly done) so 2moz i will machine the heads then thurs sort the block.
then its a waiting game for all the bits iv ordered to turn up and then bolt it all back together!!!!

but if u need an engine i may be able to help ;) ;)

right as promised iv spend HOURS cleanning my heads up today,
first they were crack tested=all ok
so then chemically cleanned
skimmed all the faces
replaced all the valve guides for wrc bronze ones (which is a bitch)
then got abit carried away and ported/polished and removed any excess metal from all the inlet/outlet ports
i also had to cut some metal away from the tops of the heads as the cams im planning on using have such a high lift they need extra clearnce
then cleanned again

then fitted the valves ...

WRC Nimonic Exhaust Valves
WRC High Performance Inlet Valves
WRC Double Valve Spring Set
