That's a nice sump you got there =)
Surprised you're not drysumping it...

am thinking about it at a later date but there are a few issues atm so im going to wait til its all up and running then look at it.
also once its all together i can get it on the scales and if the weights need adjusting then dry sumping could help me shift some weight around!

Good luck =)
It's shaping up to be a damn nice project!!

You keeping it for the Strip ONLY? Or do you have plans to run it on the track too?

M

this is one of the massive Q's atm!!

the thing is the amount its costing me im not sure i can justify just 1/4 mile use but on the other hand i have a track car and if i aim to use this on tracks then im sacrificing my 1/4 mile times quiet alot!
so i need to decide what im going to do before i can sort out transmission etc!!

i am thinking of 1/4 mile racing but it gets VERY expensive quick!!!

il prob end up using this for 1/4 only and see how i go then maybe race nxt year if the times tumble!

Drag Racing is one of these things you need to spend big bucks to be competitive...and you can't really have a reliably competitive track car combined with a Drag car, look at Norris' Bogey.

Like you said, Tune for the track, 1/4s go Up. Tune for the Strip, Don't even bother with the track...or anything else for that fact!

Just my 2 pence =D all the best with the build anyways, keep us posted =D
I want to see a shotpeened straightcut dog box in due time =P

not alot happening here im affraid guys and gals due to the clio but i do now have a very sexy rather cool clutch system!!!

very nice and i say go for a drag slag ;), you were planning on keeping it RWD right? wonder how a RWD scooby would handle on the track? even opens up the idea of a drifting outfit if your interested in the route..

never really been a massive fan of drift-not slaging it i think its good to watch and my mate has a r32 drift thing which is insane to drive but just not for me.

im thinking drag tbh
my current drag slag is getting abit battered and isnt gona get much/any faster without costing me lots and lots  where as with this i should b able to enter afew events
its what i bought it for and what i do the most of plus iv got other cars which are more than capable around a track

how much you expecting to save ditching the 4wd system? i know drags are RWD so would that mean you'll have to fit some wider then standard tyres on the rear to get the traction you'll need?

enjoyed the 133 at the Pod and we were thinking along with turning into more drag focused and agreed on saving for a few years, getting a twingo freeway and dropping the meggi engine in there ^_^. did bug me that i could get faster times then my old man but at 63 he had better reaction times lol
