Right. :-x

You've had enough time.

If someone wants one made up 2nd, PM me for payment details with your "from the face of one latch plate closed to the other" measurement, before 5pm Friday otherwise, either:

A. It will be more expensive for you due to not being in the same shipment.
or
B. You can do it yourself.

Up to you guys now.

I measured in my car the other, but realised one thing : the fixation point, which is where you usually put the lower part of the rear seats, is only spot welded to the chassis. It's not a problem when you have the normal seats and the seatbelts fitted normally, as they are bolted to the floor on 3 different points. But for a harness bar, I'm afraid this would not support the load in case of a crash. So I'm not going down this road for my car, especially with the use I have for it and the risk of accidents at very high speed at the Nürburgring.

Sorry.

Matt.

Look at where the bench seat top brackets would go. Theres three studs sticking out the top of the wheel arch.

Bolting on using the studs are only spotted on and would still be a compromise on structural strength as they may pull free. However, you could remove the studs, drill through and have a large spreader washer on the inside of the wheel arch. The original brackets may be useful for making up a bar, but you could be starting from scratch.

Stronger, a better angle for the harness and could increase body rigidity... whats not to like?
