They aren't pictures, they're the usual ****** mock ups put together by auto express. Example of their past work guessing what the clio will look like.

I think lots of people will be making these quicker than Meganes if they are turbo'd!

The megs are turbo'd? and can see reasonable gains

no doubt it gives it extra potential, but still personally prefer a N/A

So they've ruined the looks of the twingo and possibly the Clio, that leaves one to go.....

in my lovely opinion, they have already bummed the RS megane in the face. Much prefer the Meg II RS.

I think the new megane is lovely and those clio mockups look great but its just a mash up of the renailt line up atm

The only benefits of it being turbo'd that i can see is the fuel economy will be better.

I reckon they should make it lights at about 1000kg and make it n/a 1.8 180bhp would be cool.

They are doing it anyway :)

If they really wanna do turbo may as well do a 1.4 turbo so more kids can afford it.

But in terms of power it's a backwards step. A car about a tonne with 180 horses....? I thought the 182 ended in 2005

but that's what the twingo's for.

That would give it a higher power to weight than any clio thats ever been...

By how many horses? About 2 no? I don't know the exact weight of the 182 but I know it's near enough the same per tonne as a 197

Things like the ph1 172 and cup / trophey are higher, not a massive difference.

182 trophey
Curb weight 1090 kg (2398 lbs) +
Power to Weight ratio 165 bhp/tonne
Power per liter 90 bhp/liter
1/8 mile (est) 10.1 s @ 79 mph

Ph1 Renault Clio Sport 2.0 16V
Curb weight 1035 kg (2277 lbs) +
Power to Weight ratio 161 bhp/tonne
Power per liter 83 bhp/liter
1/8 mile (est) 10.4 s @ 77 mph

197 cup
Curb weight 1220 kg (2684 lbs) +
Power to Weight ratio 159 bhp/tonne
Power per liter 97 bhp/liter

thing is for me its not all about performance, out right figures etc. Its about something being 'special' and different as RS' should be...

...and not taken the poxhall route of bung some branded shocks and springs on, attach some plastic *****, give it more power than the chassis can cope with.

i would say it is "easier" to give a car a bit more power then scrap weight from a finished car (unless you go all yotah on your car :D) everyone can make their own choises , most ppl buy a car for comfort to drive and still drive sporty -> extra weight

The test version, (Confirmed by Renault as the RS version) made a brief debut at goodwood today!

Renault hits the headlines at Goodwood Festival of Speed !
A few months ahead of its official reveal, Renault Clio 4 R.S. recently made a brief but high-impact appearance at Goodwood ! The camouflaged test car raced in the famous hill-climb event with Chief Operating Officer Carlos Tavares at the wheel

Not sure if my eyes are deceiving me, but the internal shot looks like it's got a paddle shift on the screen I'm looking at.

It does. And it sucks. Balls Renault.

I certainly won't be buying another renault
