If you've got £20k to play with, put it into a 4 year old Boxster. Fantastic cars.

I guess with any car like you'd have to consider the running costs in comparison.
At one point I weighed up the idea of chopping the Megane in and buying a TVR of some kinds for about £15-20k. Weighed up the running costs and though better of it haha

Haha well there is that but at the time I was thinking I'd use the car more. Most of the miles on the Megane were done in the first 3 years.
Thing is though when you look at running say a TVR Tuscan it's crazy. If you go to a specialist you're looking at about £600 for a basic service, over a grand for a bigger service. Plus the Speed Six engines suffer oil starvation, especially being used as weekend cars so often need an engine rebuild done in well under 30k......that'll be £6,000!
Maybe if I bump off a few elderly relatives hahahaha
