The car may be affordable

The upkeep and servicing....maybe not

It's at the garage at the moment (so am I actually decided for a waiting appointment) anyways:

New tyre £200
Oil change : don't know price
Brake fluid change: don't know price
Mico filter change: don't know price.

Car insurance leaves my account today : £950

Expensive day

Aww cheers mate
He is a Renault guy though isn't he?
I drive a BMW

If its steep for oil change etc, find out what they would charge if you supplied the parts.

When i got the Twingo serviced, i supplied all parts and the garage charged £20 to change oil and oil filter. Saved me a little in the end but as yours is a BMW may save more if you just gave them the parts.

****
Just been told it needs rear pads soon as well.
This is stupid now

Ok so this morning has cost me £500
And they have quoted me £371 for new brake pads for the rear!?!

Surely I can get them cheaper?!?
