Top mounts possibly gone?

I know there's been a few threads and sounds simular ect but getting a knock from possibly top left of the suspension when i hit a bump and a click when I leave a junction, could this be a top mount? Only just done 19k miles too

Top mounts are easy to change, but it may not be the top mounts, dont 133's have a lower balljoint issue?

Just been a spin noise is coming from lower than I expected. Will try get a garage to look. Hope warranty covers this 1

Easy to inspect the lower ball joints, just pop the wheels on full lock and get on your knees and if they've split you should be able to see easily

Just went for a mcdonalds run deffinate getting noisier its creaking and groaning away and front end is getting pretty slidey on the roundabout now and is noisey at a stand still going lock to lock. Not happy

my car does this as well. its a knocking sound when you turn almost full lock and its the strut top mounts on my car i just haven't got round to changing them yet. happened just after i lowered my car. i have a GT tho and not an RS

For top mounts u just take whole suspension leg out ie shock/ spring ect or can they just be changed from top? Not had a proper look but I now know ktec do updated ones for a very good price!

You have to take the suspension unit off to get to the bottom half of the top mount with the bearing in.

Wee update, both ball joints are worn and need replaced renualt guy was really good and fast to identify the problem. Getting it sorted then gonna get them to value the car to see if they have anything nice at a simular price as i know that it wont be long till they go again with the milage i do per year.

Make sure they do the tracking when they give it back. The new ball joints are up graded because when I had mine done they was on back order

Could be back order cos so many were needed to be replaced not that It was replaced. Have we verified any physical difference or part number?

They are? Thats good to know actually. When i send it in( waiting for a phome call ) ill make sure tracking done and get them to check the whole car over then also. Its annoying but if they hand car back to me all fixed ect no more knocking i will be happy

Wee update, car got checked Monday and is away in tomorrow morning as both!! Ball joints are hammered. Not bad for 19100 miles old car huh?
