Was just thinking bout my tow hook I have and remembered that some people with the stealthsport ones put something behind the bottom of the ring to stop it scratching the bumper, I'm not sure what would b best to use though?

That's a good idea. Might put some silicon on the back of it so it's soft when it rubs.

I used draft excluder on mine. Worked a treat, sticky one side, soft the other side

Good evening guys,

I have a question: So I have recieved my TOW EYE today, can someone tell me how I have to fix it?
Just screw it in? or screw it in and fix it on the rear with the nut who was included with the TOW EYE?

thanks a lot ;)

Without seeing it and knowing how long the plane shank and thread is, this is a bit of a guess.

The nut could be screwed onto the threads of the tow hook, then the hook screwed into position, with the positioning of the nut allowing the eye of the hook to hang down when everything is tightened.

Alternatively, if you can get to the end of the threads once it is screwed in, the nut could be tightened within the engine bay to act as a locknut. Beware of the live terminals on the starter motor and alternator if your waving a spanner about down there.

Thanks for your answer mate,

No the nut can`t act as a locknut, because the thread an the whole towing eye isn`t long enough, I think the TOW EYE isn`t for Twingos because it isn`t long enough and I bought it from a guy who had it on his clio!

The Whole Tow EYE has just 4,74 inches, when i screw it a few turns in, the ring touches already my bumper, and it looks not like on the Twingos who fitted it!

When i want that it looks like on the other twingos, I can just turn it 1 turn in, but that`s not the way to fix it!

sorry for my bad english :-S
