Whats the fit and finish like on the standard diffuser ? The pictures look good on this thread but just had some advice from Renault body shop that the standard diffuser part doesn't fit too well on the bumper of the RS .... Is that true ?

Mine fits perfecto :) As you can see from the pictures on page one. it just takes a bit more work to get the bumper off.

Well my bumper has to come off anyway so was just wondering .. .its what I have been told thats all .......

Well mine is going into body shop on Monday and its a Gordini - had a hit in the back and its either new bumper of old bumper off and bit the diffuser on to the top as it will cover the damage. Diffuser to be painted gloss black same as current centre section.

Worried new bumper will be different shade of blue hence the idea for the diffuser, but chappie at garage said they didn't fit too well .....

So now in a dilema ...

Like the look of the car with the diffuser I have to say but as long as it all fits ok

Diffuser wont be a issue sounds like he just want to put a bumper on it !!!

So what do people think if it was a straight choice.

Damage on the current bumper is pretty much only in the bacl centre section on the bumper (as I said I have a gordini) so its shiiny black. The blue section has only couple of tiny marks.

1) SO I can get new bumper and leave looking as is - but I am worried about the blue colour match

OR

2) Get the diffuser put on painted the same shiny black - this will cover the offending damage (which is light ripple next to number plate where it flexed when hit)

Garage has to remove bumper either way and also they are going to check / replace cross memeber behind bumper too.

So I suppose will the bumper get damaged in removing and hence beter to go with new one but risk colour match, or do I go the diffuser option with no worries on colour match ..

I am leaning towards the diffuser option asI think it looks really smart and better than standard bumper but like I said the body shop tried to advise that its not a great fit - think this is around the bottom edge with some gaps maybe ??
