Oh the horrible stripes came of easy :) it was the rear twingo sticker I removed. Left outlines, but I used some saliva (classy) and scraped it with my nails then rubbed it in...turned from a gummy sticky substance into little balls and rolls of it, and the hot soapy water took it of completely with a bit of time and effort. If ur using fairy liquid etc be sure to wax n wash ur car after as fairy liquid etc strips the wax of ur car!

i've got a steamer for wallpaper stripping, might help to ease them off. if not i will use a hairdryer then get to work with my nails and spit! just need a nice day to get out there and do it.

Good luck buddy, either ways fine. Now for some weather....you'll be waiting a while. Summer in britain eh! Pfft

i can't get rid of the glue residue but don't want to damage paint with solvents.
Has anybody succesfully removed the badge with no trace? I know acetate is greast for removing glue, but i also know it's will ruin the paint finish... :|

Don't worry unless you use something extreme you'll be fine with something like Autoglym Bug & Tar remover which will just melt the glue.

Alternatively lighter fluid like you fill up a Zippo with will have much the same effect.
