Me and my m8 have had 3 races now as every time I have one in my twingo:) tbh like I said before the corsa Vxr is quicker in a straight line but that's it and tbh there no where near as quick as I thought they would be,up to 90 I can keep up with him bout 3-4 car lengths in it but after that he is gone lol

How do they compare?

My girlfriend's mate has one and I wonder how they compare, acceleration, top speed and handling.

What simple changes can be made to boost the Twingo's performance?

Not to be big headed here at all but I have just sold my vxr 1weeks ago,so if your wanting the truth & not someone to full you full of poo, here is my truthfull point, the vxr is a much faster car full stop!! But the handling is really bad had mine on coilovers & it still doesn't have a finger on the twingo, but in a straight line the corsa is amazing after a few mods, hope this helps,my i add the vxr is very hungry on the juice !!

My mate at work has a corsa vxr and we have done a few pulls in gears to compare cars and corsa wins every time, however, 2nd gear pulls I can beat him initially as he can't get power down and suffers traction loss, mostly in wet roads tho.

As said and I agree the twingo handles better through the twisties and I can hold my own against him with a struggle but he does say his cars on its absolute limit. But at end of day it's down to drivers also and the size of there balls. I love my twingo, but against a vxr, you need either a big wallet, or big balls ;)

On paper, its a no brainer as a 1.6turbo would have a significant advantage in mid range torque and power over a 1.6NA. However off boost, the Corsa could be caught napping and less weight and better handling of the Twingo could see the Twingo having the advantage.

That said, almost all cars (Gwizz excepted) can break the speed limits and sometimes be going too fast for the road conditions as its the soft squidgy bit at the wheel that ultimately decides how fast any car is. I'm not sure if this has been shown south of the border but its part of a current campaign up here
