Twingo vs Abarth Photo Thread :)

I love these! Such a shame they didnt make the Twingo RS with a 1.4 turbo. Purely for modding reasons.

A young girl drove down my street in one the other week and it sounded awesome with little pope and bangs coming from the exhaust and she was driving slowly!

Even after a good sesh the Twingo's exhaust never sounds that good though we have the better sounding engine and induction noise.

Now the Clio has been down scaled to a 1.6 turbo, I can see the next RS Twingo being a smaller turbo unit too. The 1.4Tce would fit the bill nicely as its about 130hp in factory spec. I bet a remap would get 160-170 without too much trouble... Although, would it have the character of a 1.6na :?

Thats the thing isn't it.

Saying that turbo isnt too bad. My mate rapes me in his 225 when i fall out of the Twingo's powerband. He can floor it in 2nd and shoot off from virtually any revs whereas we have to be at 5k

^^^ the joys of having a two litre engine. I bet even well off boost he has the same or more torque than your getting at peak

Quite possibly. The thing is blooming rapid!

Only reasons i can keep with him are because

His brakes overheat waay before mine (both standard)
His is the standard 225 without LSD and his tcs and esp can't be turned off

He wheelspins everywhere. No joke i can outdrag him to 3rd when its not bone dry as he's just spinning away his power.

Plus he doesnt use all the width of a track
