twingo with 182

Hi all not long owned my twingo rs and have gone from a 182 but I was thinking about putting te 182 in the twingo can anybody tell me how easy this conversion is? Is it a straight fit any bit of advice is much appreciated

There used to be a supplier on here that did engine swaps. Specifically Twingo with 172/182 swaps.

Cheers guys dont have much of a budget that is y I was just going to use the 182 for the time being as I thought it went straight in just not to sure on the gearbox and engine mounts! As i have somebody who can put the 182 in there just wondering what other parts i will need even tho i have the whole car of the 182! ...Megane in a year or two once I have some funds behind me

So just go straight for the 225? Do engine mounts etc line up? I no I will have to do work to the gearbox?

The engine mounts for the 182 engine are the in the same places as the engine mounts on the twingo's. It's near enough a direct swap obvious the exhaust manifold would need some custom work to fit. I don't know about the gearbox.

To get the exhaust mani to fit does something have to b made or take a few things out and relocate?

Quick little up date

Went and got the 182 from a friends house when driving it home sounded a bit strange, messed with it a little bit then after a bit it SOUNDED fine so took it for a steady drive and BANG!! Loads of smoke :/!! Havent had chance to look at the block but wouldnt tick over it was dead!!

On the plus side a friend is selling his 172 at a mates rate will that b the same as a182 fitting it in the twingo
