Dazzas main grief is with the officer mentioning 30, but having to pay 60 online. Hence, me wondering if the amount was written on the ticket.

For future reference, reg plates should have a BS mark as part of the plate. To get this, it will comply with all the size and font regulations and also bear the makers details.

I beleive theres only a couple of BS tested pressed plate manufacturers. One of which is Europl8 which is where mine came from... Maggi112 has previously recomended a detailer who makes makes plates as well

I don't think dazza was saying or wanting people to say all coppers are cock whisks, however some are as with any profession or person. If the copper was unprofessional that is plenty of ammo for dazza to rant about, as we all do. Crime or no crime, cock whisk or no cock whisk we all enjoy a good rant when we feel wronged (£30 vs £60 fine in this case)

I've read in various other car forums that it's £30 per infraction...... So MAYBE he's had two..... Hence £60.

We'll never know.... Lesson learnt

Traffic officers are there to deal with traffic related offences... An if you where unsure about the fine bracket instead of paying up you should have contacted the issuing force!

Saying about the bikes with non conforming plates or exhaust well their time will come!

It's as broad as its long, I managed to get off with 3 points and 60quid for doing nearly 60 in a 30. I know I'm an idiot etc etc but the officer stated that I at least waited for a clear road on a open stretch, no houses, side roads or people around etc and did it safely although illegally, because of that he didn't throw the book at me, decent copper in my book.

Looked in my bank last night and the £60 came out my bank. Jra3d yeah I was in the wrong for havin them plates but dont tell me £30 then charge me £60 then don't moan for me to put the proper 1's on then when I'm doin it tell me to wait till I get home. The driver of the cop car was alright it was the passenger that had a chip on his shoulder
