So, I've just polished off the last of my custom wheel cleaner that i was given from Seat two years ago... I have had plenty of use out of the bottle (presumably 275ml, I can't remember), but am looking at something new to use?

So, whats everyone using at the moment that is doing a great job? Needs to be PH neutral, and suitable for painted alloys (Hence the custom wheel cleaner)... I would use the normal shampoo as for the car but i find it doesn't clean the Callipers well enough for my liking... :D

I know your all off at Silverstone at the moment so when you get back and relax on the computer :)

I sell Dodo Juice Supernatural Wheel Cleaner, mate. It's pH neutral and perfect for cleaning delicate finishes, such as painted alloy wheels. If you're interested, PM me and I can give you a very good price :)

I was wondering whether or not you would have something for the wheels, I'm not buying anything until i get paid at the end of the month, but i will probably have a large(ish) order to place with you Matt, i need to invest in some decent sealants or waxes as I'm not going to be able to wash the car weekly when i move to uni! (that is unless i drive it down to Sam's house and he washes it for me?)
But i will look up everything I'm after over the next week or so and then check back with you :)

No worries, mate! Just send me a PM/email any time if there's anything that I can help with :)

Bilberry was great stuff, BUT things have moved on a lot. It's also not PH neutral. TBH mild acidic/alkali solutions aren't an issue like marketing gurus will have you believe. It's all about common sense and applying products in the correct way. I rarely come across wheels that need more than a stronger shampoo solution, that goes for brake calipers too

As for the dodo stuff, it is very good as it goes and can claim to be ph neutral if that matters to you.

Best value for money/bang for buck IMO is gonna be autosmart. In fact their entire range is very good and very, very competitively priced

Thank you :) Ill have a look around and see what i find...

Keep the opinions coming though guys :p

All purpose cleaner is also good for wheels. I often use it because it's so economical and very effective. I have that in stock, too :)

And I will vouch for the APC being good ;)

In fact... I'lll need some more soon enough  got a luurvely m3 booked in with me after reading :)

M3 ftw. my uncle has a limited edition, only two in the uk of the colour he has...!

APC for a wheel cleaner? i suppose that will save me having to have two bottles of stuff...!

of course, it's an all purpose product

It has rather effective degreasers so is effective against brake dust and traffic film. Just it will affect any protection on the wheels.

And for the M3, it'll be my third M3 I've detailed now :D

I just use Semi Diluted TFR on my wheels.

The Swarfega Orange stuff. 1 Bag dilluted to 20l, then used on wheels.
Lifts all the brake dust and grime off the wheels.

Ran even more dilluted to clean my car.

 I didn't quite explain myself well enough there, I meant to say I wouldn't have thought it be strong enough to remove the brake dust..!!
And as for protection, when they are sealed properly I will just use the shampoo for the car on them, but I want them sparkling clean before that!

Im not sure how/where my uncle gets his car done, he could even do it himself! But it is a beauty of a car and one day I'll bribe him to let me give it a 'scrub'..

Try Autoglym Custom WHeel Cleaner its acid free and think its Ph neutral use it on mine all the time think its about 13.99 for 1l with two brushes from their website :)

yeah, thats what I've been using but i want to try something new ;-) thanks though :)
