Wheel refurb price

Just got quoted over the phone £85 a wheel! Please tell me i shouldnt expect to pay this much.. I cant find anywhere else! Rang my local renault and they said they didnt do refurbs :-( been saving for ages and i have enough for £60 a wheel which is what i was expecting!

Wasn't from "The Wheel Specialist" was it? Rip off merchants, if you find a small enough place or even look for a local powdercoating company rather than specialist wheel refurbishment companies as the ones around here will also refurb wheels for around £50 a corner.

Well its from a quite new place called alloy expert, and i think they are the only ones that will do wheels with plastic center caps... So says 'px wheels' that only do powder coating.. I just want them redone in anthracite!

Just had a nice chat with spray shack, £50+vat depending on damage which sounds reasonable!
Plus i want my fog surounds and wing mirrors redone cause the pillock who did them didnt use the right lacquer, and its annoying to look at! So should be able to sort out a nice deal for the lot ! best get abit of extra work on the go!

i got 4 of mine done for 40 pound a wheel, that was to get any marks and slight kerbing out of them from when i first bought the car, then all 4 powder coated black, the guy i know charged 20 petrol money as he had to take them to the powder coater which was about an hour away, for 180 i got 4 glass black alloys that looked brand new!

Place near me said £70 per wheel plus VAT, I politely said no.

There's a place in Loughborough that would refurb for £180 but that's not powder coating.

There is a mobile guy near me who i need to chat to as i need mine refurbed wonder if it will cost much extra to get the gloss black while he is at it

What about Chipsaway? They sorted a mate's Beemer alloys and did quite a good job of it and they weren't too expensive if I can remember.

They should have left them as they were, shouldn't be driving around in a Beemer flash git...

Being a franchise, the quality of work is best taken on recomendation. It could be anywhere between outstanding to awfull from your local representative.

Absolutely Neil. I've seen some work they've done and was very impressed. But it's down to the individual

I got a guy round that was ex-chipsaway.. That did dents for them, he must of been about 60 and was using allsorts like old chair legs and door wedges haha! Even with the odd tools i trusted him with my car cause i could tell he had been doing it many years

Did an awesome job too!
