I have a 133 already but it's coming to the end of it's warranty and finance so I'm looking to trade it in for the new shape 133 as Renault have some really good deals available at the moment and the 133 is such a fun/cheap car to drive! However I really can't decide on a colour? White or Liquid Yellow? The Liquid Yellow is a £1300 extra but I was wandering if anyone on here knew how well it keeps and if it makes the car worth anymore when it comes to selling it? Also I've heard if Liquid Yellow need to be repaired it's more or less impossible to match it to the rest of the car. Looking at getting the car in Summer.

Just wanting to here what people have to say about it. :)

Yeah I'm more inclined to go for liquid yellow but a salesman told me white is easier to sell and also to repair liquid yellow if needs be is really difficult and expensive? Not sure if that was true or if he just said it because he had a white one in stock. :L My finance runs out on the 133 in June. So looking to upgrade to a new car then. Priced up a Clio 200 but they are far to much to run over the year unless I did some serious overtime at work! :L Plus I'll only have just turned 20 so my insurance is still quite high so it's looking like the 133 again. :)

He will be saying that cus he is a sailsman!! Haha
He won't have a yellow in stock, and it's probably a pain in the hoop to get one sorted! The white is an easy option for him!

That's what I thought. I had a look on Clio200.net though and some folk on there with liquid yellow said they got ridiculous quotes for repair work on liquid yellow body work? :S Something about it having to be blown out? :S Yellow does look mint though!

Weigh it up. Liquid yellow makes a cheap car not cheap. Resale probably won't affect it cos tbh the rs133 is already a bit of a specialist vehicle. Not many on the roads and people don't just pass em and think 'I'll buy it' they go looking for them cos they already want one. Generally.

Have you looked at the swift sport? Same price but has loads of extras over the 133. I drove it and tbh it's very very good! Hids as standard was a big stand out point.

If you really want the twingo in yellow now, I'd say go for it and stop justifying it. Do not let the dealers stock sway your decision. Tell him he sorts you a deal on a yellow on or he doesn't get a sale

liquid yellow is a really hard colour to get right, thats why its so expensive to put on your car in the 1st place.

does look amazing though and its your car so who cares, you got to be happy with it :)

Yeah my mate has a Swift Sport and it does have some things that the 133 doesn't have but not to keen on them honestly. Yeah I felt like saying that to the dealer as he didn't actually seem all that interested and the information he gave me on the car was crap. Just kept going back to an 08 plate 133 they had which would be a stupid swap, or the white one they had in stock which wasn't a cup either which is what I'm after. I knew more about the new shape than him and apparently he was there Renault Sport specialist. :L

I was in a Renault garage once with my pal who wanted a Twingo GT and the guy that worked there laughed at her when she asked if they could find her one and said 'There's no such thing as a Twingo GT, you only get the standard one and the Sport', I piped in straight away of course pointing to my GT parked right across the road then told him to go re-educate himself!

That's brilliant! :L Not all salesmen are like that though. I'm just unfortunate that my local Renault dealership is full of idiots. The one I used before I moved was amazing though. Would have thought seeing as it is there jobs they'd be able to harp off all the information you need from optional extras to 0-60 times.

Just a job to them though. It's a passion to us!

Fair enough on the swift, not everyones cuppa tea but I certainly liked it. Just the standard equipment put Renault to shame along with the ride

Go for the yellow, it'll look great with the right colour combo. Ie just yellow and black ;) I'm not like the anthracite pack. Too much going on and it doesn't suit!

James. which dealers is this.? Doesn't sound like it's Mike over in Inverness, although they have/had a white one in the showroom.

Evans Halshaw here in Aberdeen. Was a couple of weeks ago. Haven't been to Ness Motors yet but I think I will as they have always given me good service plus my mates dad is one of the salesmen there now. It wasn't the Aberdeen branch that had it in stock but the guys said something about them getting it. I'd imagine they have it in by now.

Liquid Yellow ¬_¬

Not sure about the 133's but mine will sell for more than a non LY. I certainly paid a bit more!

LY will look nicer and as bones pointed out in theory should hold more value

LY is truly awesome, but I'm personally not sure it's worth that much extra on a 133. Especially as the 133 looks quite so awesome in some of the other colours
