Amended for you. ;)

Just to put things into perspective, my first insurance at 17 was on a Mk3 Cortina 1600L, and was £175 for the year. That was the equivilent of 6 weeks take-home pay, so things haven't changed that much for you. :)

Happy days!

My first was £145, third party on a Citroen GS Pallas. I was 22. I got "lucky" - it was through the RAC and they had an offer of a year's free no-claims for first-timers. When my renewal came up it showed as 2 years' no-claims. That lucky move paid me off every year for about 6 years when renewals came up and must've saved me £100's...

£411 quote paying £475 per year at the moment with admiral, age 21 with 4 years ncb on all declared mods on twingo 1.2 75hp

Just renewed 19, 1 years NCB £1095 with aviva on my GT and thats fully comp.

some reason all other companies wanted like £2-3000 off me! So when aviva called I explained I wasn't happy with their initial insurance quote of £2700 and they looked into it for me!

Ontop of that direct line told me for a GT they won't insure anyone under 21
