Advice please on how to clean the plastic(?) black roof on my Wind? I have yet to wash it (only had it a week!)
I usually use a spray and shine thing that cleans and polishes, no water required! But I am unsure if it will be ok on the roof? I have tried it on the smooth part of the lower section (that was fine) but the actual roof seems a bit more 'textured' and I am worried that it may mark with the spray stuff... Open to any advice or recommendations!

This is all because I read that you should avoid high pressure washing as it can make the roof leak? This is not something I want to find out the hard way so thought I would just go back to the spray and shine! I guess you are probably going to tell me to just wash it the old fashioned way!!

When they say 'roof leak' they mean where it meets the rest of the car.

I use car shampoo on it, same as I do on the rest of the car. If spray and shine is okay on other plastics, then it should be fine. If in doubt, fire off an e-mail at the manufacturer/importer.

Use this:

Makes the roof look like brand new.

Dissapears after a few heavy rains but I love the effect.

I use this product on the back diffusor, the front nose (plastic parts) and the interior.

Don't spill it on the windows or the metallic parts because it's super greasy.

I was thinking maybe some kind of 'back to black' type product?
Thanks for the advice!

It makes it look black again.

Try it. It's my favourite product.. come to TRAX and you can try it out. I'm gonna bring an entire cleaning kit with me anyway.

Where can I get it from? (except you at Trax lol)

Full cleaning kit eh ... So ...If I do come would you clean my car for me ;)

Well I'm bringing it with me because I like to make my car look atleast a little shiney, after a 5 hour trip I want to make my wheels look white again instead of grey ;)

Quick detailer and wax I'll be bringing  although if the weather is kind I'll give it a good cleaning and claying that week!

However my alloys are fucked as I chose a remap over a refurb lol

Something that I'm missing is quick detailer.

I'm gonna try and wax it before I leave so I just have the give the wheels and some small details a quick shine.

Grrrr! And I thought they looked great!
Will need to get something to try stop the brake dust sticking then *sigh*
Why is nothing ever easy!

Hi Blondie, don't put anything on the roof , just keep it clean , re wheels kent do a nice long brush, that and Auto Glym stuff are all available on amazon, i bought a Valet case , just under £40 got everything in it. re pressure washer/ roof, i gave mine a good go , no leaks, Snow foam is great to use , de bugs - degreases, Happy Cleaning.
