Found a second-hand red Twingo RS from 2010 with shadow decals for a good 10 000€, 20000 km (about 15000 miles), 1 year warranty, full fat cup chassis with sunroof.

This is actually the RS I would consider to buy (especially the sunroof is a rare and expensive option) and being a full fat with cup chassis.

I can take 90% of the mods I have on my Wind to the Twingo RS, coilovers, RS gear knob, wheels, led lights, carbon mirror caps , Sparco airfilter, RS-mats,(those I got from yotah) (except the re-map and backbox exhaust)

Am I being crazy or is this a good deal?

Lately it has been a little bit of bothering me for not having a rear bench to take someone extra with me.

Can I just trade in my Wind for this car?

You've had the Wind for quite a while. Is the Twingo what you want, or will you be looking to change up to something else in 6 months?

If the latter, then I'd hold on to the Wind for a while longer.

Thing is.. turning 25 at the end of the year + my mom really wants me out of the house so maybe in 6 to 10 months I'll need to find something for myself.

But the Wind isn't a practical car when you're living by yourself + possible (if all stays well) with a girlfriend. I know the booth is actually smaller than the Wind but sliding the rear seats forward or fold them down creates more space.

I can be patient and wait but a red Twingo RS, fullfat with cup + a sunroof are thé options I was looking for (want to make my own red Gordini style out of it.. paint fogsurrounds white + goes wel with the Superturismo's)

Btw, I've already called the garage to go look at the car so i can scheck out the scuttle panel, balljoints and see if it kangaroo's.

sounds good to me and the twingo is very practical, i have moved the girlfrds house twice now in it and it does absorb stuff

go for it

Sounds like a great steal! Go for it.

The twingo is a bit more practical than the wind + you will still be getting the sun on your head with the sunroof :p

Talked with my teamleader about selling & finances, 'cause honestly.. I don't know alot about this stuff.

Discussed some stuff and he recommended it could be actually cheaper by going to Renault and saying you're interested in a new car rather then trading it in for another second hand car (less likely to give you a nice deal).

So I might go by the garage and say I'm interested in a new 133 or maybe order a new Clio RS already (if you can order one already) and see what prices they tell me.

Facelift are minging, new clio would be good if you take a few options, but i'd hold out for the recaros/brembos that aren't supposed to be making an appearence till mid 2013!

Did an online simulation though based on the 1.6 turbo Juke and full cover insurance isn't cheap.. holy cow.

Ahh not good! but would you rather a nice looking new car with a turbo? or a new car that looks like it's predecessor mated with a Juke? ha ;)

I´d say, if you like the RS, go for it.

Do you have any more info on it, like interior colour, seats, etc?
I´d be happy to see you in one, finally a proper car and not a hairdresser machine ahahah.

Actually car salesmen get more commission from selling used cars than they do new, so they would probably give you a better deal on the used one as they would be earning more from it :)

Looking at the configurator.. if I'd get a facelift 133, I'd really do my best to get my hands on a RB7

To be honest, the facelift doesn't look that bad. Depending in which color you're taking it.
Thats my opinion.

Haha, you *******! :p

Ignore them Shadow! They all secretly wish they'd bought a Wind ;) :D

Shadow it's obvious you want the RS so buy it today and get over here for the Blackpool Illuminations run on sunday ;)

As you're young, I will point out that the Wind is not classed as an RS, so the insurance is cheaper even though the cars are the same under the skin. Also, as the TCE can certainly be tuned to the same power level as the 133, why do you want to change? It would be a backward step.

Well when I drove Ghostz car I loved the way it even started up, the engine rumble and how it loves high reves. It's not about the horsepower only.. besides. Think I'd remap my 133 as well so I'd end up somewhere between 130 & 140 bhp and make the engine a little smoother.

I'm looking at a sporty 4 seater or atleast a 3 door car with a rear seat. The Twingo RS is one of them, I've been looking at a Honda Civic Type S 1.8 but even for 140 bhp, they're quite slower, heavier and more expensive than a 133.

With the cheaper insurance it varies massively from person to person as on a TCE wind I get quotes around the £2300 mark. On an RS twingo they're around the £1000 mark. I'm 18 (however basing the policy on when I turn 19)

Go for the RS twingo :)

Or a turbo'd fiat panda 100hp :p ecan get to 150-170bhp mark :p
