ive just come from using hids mate and u need to get yourself a set.

they are loads better than standard, i can tell u 1st hand, im driving with standard lights and miss my hids massively.

shame ive sold the set i had.

Get some HiDs I wasn't one for them but now ive had some I'd never go back

Just make sure you get H4 hi/lo set to do main and dipped beam

I'm sure there used to be a link from the drop down selectors... You need a H4 kit

https://www.hids4u.co.uk/h4-bi-xenon-hid-conversion-kits/

I haven't had any problems with a cheap 35W kit that's not designed for Can-Bus systems, so no need to go for top of the range ;) The light output is slightly strange compared to normal bulbs, when going from dip to min beam... With a normal bulb, you normaly get 55w dip which is concentrated on the ground, whereas main is an additional 60W over a larger area. With H4 Hid's, you still get the same light output but its directed differently by a sliding reflector, so you get very bright dip concentrated so you generaly don't need to go onto main beam which illuminates a much larger area but not so brightly as the 35W is spread over a larger area.... Although it is still brighter than a 55/60W fillament bulb.

6K or 4.8K are fine, going for a higher temperature makes them far too blue for me as everything looks odd shades of colour when lit by the light and your more likely to be pulled for having blue lights. I'm using 6K. Technicaly HID's aren't legal in the Twingo.

There aren't any kits specificaly designed for the Twingo, or, probably any other vehicle.

the headlight bulbs are H4 (dual fillament dip/main) and can be replaced by a H4 hid kit, hence the link to the H4 kits :)

Can someone enlighten me the diffrence between HID's and Xenon? Is the same or one's just an upgrade?

A normal bulb has a wire fillament which gets hot and glows when a current is passed through it. Use of different gasses within the bulb envelope allow the fillament to be run hotter, therefore giving greater light output as it glows brighter. Xenon is gas used in premeum bulbs.

HID's don't have a fillament. The light comes from an electric arc between two electrodes, much like a welding torch. How the arc is controled is down to the bulb and a ballast pack which controls the voltage/current through the bulb as the running voltage is several thousand volts but at a low current

Hows that?

Here, a Xenon is not allowed in cars when they don't have headlight water sprayers build in the bumpers.

I dunno how this is in the UK. Not heard if this is the same for HID kits..
