Word of Warning
As of 1st December, the Rules are Changing.
Anyone caught with HIDs as non OE Fitment for their MOT, without Washers, Autoleveling Headlights and an unsuitable light pattern (i.e - Light scatter everywhere and lighting up the trees above you) will be subject to an Instant MOT Fail:
"From MOT from December 2011, the below changes will come into force, which will be very bad news for some.
HID lights – Specifically those aftermarket kits that give the very bright headlight beams. Any cars found with these kits will be an automatic MOT failure. Testers are able to easily spot the difference between HID kits, and manufacturer fitted Xenon’s. Easy to spot as Xenon cars have suspension level sensors, in car beam adjuster, and usually headlight washers." - Source: UKPOLICEONLINE
So - Unless Renault bring out a Xenon Pack for the Twingo, you can't have them through your MOT.
AND, VOSA Man/Woman can do you for non compliance if they catch you on the road with them.
