Use an eraser to gently rub the polish out of the pimples on the mirror mounts.

Then wash the rubber shavings off and treat to a plastic detail

I've recently done mine with autoglym vinyl and rubber care.
Ignore the instructions, spray on a cloth, wipe over generously, and leave to dry over a period of several hours.

Will dry very evenly and certainly look new.
